Venezuela

In 2018, Venezuela's oil exports represented 99% of all export revenue and 35% of GDP, according to the organization of petroleum exporting countries.

 

The price of oil fluctuated significantly since 2013 and oil production in Venezuela has plummeted due to mismanagement and Corruption. Venezuela's fall is the single largest economic collapse outside of war in at least 45 years, economists say.

 

Shortages of food medicine and other basic necessities resulted from years of Economic mismanagement and official corruption, and decline or oil prices in 2013 - 2016 people continue to leave Venezuela to escape violence, insecurity, and threats as well as lack of food, medicine, and essential services.

 

 4.6 million Venezuelans have fled the country, about 16% of the population. Venezuela has surpassed China and becoming the number one country of origin for those claiming asylum in the US.  host countries bracket mainly Latin American, has been genu sleep welcoming them, but are increasingly overstretched.
